| Consumer Rights |
|
Relex Online declares that the distance selling directive applies to the General terms. For the content of this directive we refer to Consumer rights
|
|
Important new rights of the consumer.
Consumers have the right to a cooling down period of seven working days after delivery of the product. Within the cooling down period the consumer has the right to return the product only being obliged to pay the postage and packaging costs. There are terms and conditions that the seller can attach to the return of goods. If the seller has financed the product (e.g. a loan ) then the financial contract is nullified should the consumer choose to use the cooling down period.
The product has to be delivered within 30 days of ordering. Should the delivery take longer than 30 days then is the consumer within his/her rights to nullify the arrangement. This is not applicable however if both parties (seller and consumer ) have agreed to a different delivery date.
The seller is obliged to return payment within 30 days of the product being returned.
The cooling down period is not applicable to:
- The sale of property and real estate.
- The sale of custom items (e.g. tailor made suits).
- The sale of perishables (e.g. cakes and tarts).
- Newspapers and magazines.
- Cd's, Video's and Cd-roms.
- Hotel, travel and restaurant bookings except where a date has been arranged.
- A service that the seller has started, with permission from the consumer, prior to the cooling down period.
